Mercer Island Remodel

A modest remodel with targeted scope tackling the kitchen and three bathrooms.

This 1970s architect-designed house on Seattle’s Mercer Island met the owners’ functional needs but did not quite suit their contemporary lifestyle. SHED was tasked to replace worn-out fixtures, increase natural light, and transform a lackluster kitchen into one that fosters family connections. Featuring original details including split levels, high ceilings, and integrated skylights, the house only needed a gentle nudge to achieve the desired outcome.
