Noah Freedman

Noah Freedman grew up on a community vegetable farm in Frederick, Maryland, gaining his love of architecture from a cross-pollination of community building, ecological preservation, and agricultural construction. While receiving a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Ecological Cities from Virginia Tech, he expanded upon this focus on humanistic construction through Virginia Tech's fabrication labs in Blacksburg and Boston and a wood and urbanism-focused study abroad program in Switzerland. Prior to joining SHED, Noah did a stint as an apprentice timber framer and as an intern at VMDO, working on Higher Education projects. Outside of Architecture he spends his time rock climbing, hiking, cooking and generally exploring the Pacific Northwest. Noah's favorite part about architecture is that it allows him to explore many aspects of life as a generalist in the specialist field of design and construction.
